Before I had my first child twelve and a half years ago, I never went to the park.  To a farm.  To a pet store (except to buy food and litter for my cat—it was an errand, not an outing for fun).  To Plaster Fun Time.  To a lake.
Girllll, I was way too focused, efficient, and stressed out for any such drivel!
Now, 3 kids (and 2 more coming within days or weeks) later, I do these things without batting an eye.
How cool is that?
With all we give to our children, our children are always giving to us—sometimes in ways we don’t even notice because of the everyday-ness of life.
The Universe has made it such that once you have a child; you have “built-in” breaks, disguised as “outings” or “play dates.”
Because honestly, did you really leave your desk at IBM at 10am to sneak off to the park?
Did you take off from the library in grad school to feed the ducks on the Charles?
Did you blow off a staff meeting at your Ad Agency to paint a plaster sun at Plaster Fun Time?

But post labor, these are things that you can do—with a purpose!

LOL.
So again, it’s all about balance.
Yet I see many Supermoms out of balance.
Stressed out, frazzled, exhausted, and a bit, well, resentful.
But no worries and of course, no judgment.
The answer—how to find your balance–is simple and fast and easy.
If you are feeling off center, my Sisters, find your balance again through a yoga practice and your breath.
I realize that it sounds overly simplistic, but talk to any Sister who’s done it/is doing it, and they’ll concur.
There’s a reason why this practice has been around for over 5000 years.
So when you find yourself off-center, feeling tired or resentful and the furthest from grateful to be swimming in a lake or going to a softball game, STOP!

Breathe in and breathe out.

And roll out your mat as soon as possible.
