Hi Kristen,

I wish I did know of a great hotel...do any other Super-people out there know of one?

The waterfront is NICE but probably pricey.

Have the best day ever!!

Namaste!!

I love this idea! I have friends coming to visit me for two weeks in Boston. They have two children ( 6 & 8). Does anyone know of any great places/hotels for them to stay at? I was thinking a place with a suite and right in Boston so they don't need to rent a car.
Thanks for all of the help!!!

Thanks Super-mom Michelle.

I love your suggestions and they are right on!!

It's always about balance--whether with our children as Super-moms or just in our daily lives as Super-moms.

Is there balance?

Does something feel out of balance?

A Super-mom will know when she's out of balance and when that happens, it's OK and there's no need for drama--it's just time to re-evaluate, make a shift, and begin again, taking a step toward balance.

I love your suggestions because they are all about balance between your children's and your wants and needs.

And where there is balance, there is joy and inner peace.

Have the best day ever!!

Namaste!!

one of the biggest tips i can suggest is finding something that works for the kids and adults when traveling. these little beings aren't interested in all the things that adults are interested in, so we need to compromise and make it fun. for instance, one of our favorite travel destinations is amsterdam because we can rent "Dutch bikes" and ride around the city all day long. This allows my husband and i to see the sites but it also keeps it interesting for the kids. they love the movement -- it's better than dragging them around on foot. we then map out special stops throughout the day whether it's an ice cream shop, the park or petting zoo. everyone gets to explore and no one is disappointed. granted, i would love to linger and shop more than my kids would allow but i also have to remember that the trip is more than shopping and i'll have plenty of time to travel and shop after they're all grown up.

Thanks Super-mom Michelle.

I'm so glad you are enjoying the site.

It's here for you, Super-mom!!

I love that you travel so frequently and so far :) with your children.

What a gift to them--and you.

You are teaching them so many beautiful lessons along the way, as you've pointed out so well.

And showing other Super-moms that it's possible, and fun!!

Do you have any little tips to share with your fellow Super-moms about easy travel with little ones?

Thanks Michelle and have the best day ever!!

Namaste!!

My friend just forwarded me your site and i'm in love with everything i've read already. My husband, two daughters & i travel regularly...in fact, we just returned from 3 weeks in europe. everyone was shocked and amazed that we embarked on a seemingly impossible feat with a 6 year old and 21 month old but it's a state of mind and we loved that we shared such a big experience as a family. our 2 girls got to bond and figure out how to be with each other 24 hours a day. in fact, as a family, we learned a lot about each other. i smiled when i read about your travels because we've been to disneyland 4 times, europe 3 times and hawaii 4 times since my oldest daughter was born. it's what strengthens us as a family.

Thanks Super-mom DJ.

I LOVE the one bag always packed wisdom.

That rocks.

I keep one partially packed with toiletries, hair stuff, diapers, books for the kids, etc., but i don't have duplicate chargers and jammies and bathing suits in there--great idea!!

I will add those to make packing even more of a no-brainer.

I also love the beach stuff in the car iwisdom and though we don't live near the beach, i keep beach stuff in the car as well all summer long. this way, we make it to the beach more often!! :)

Have the best day ever!!

What wonderful suggestions. I know that packing when one travels regularly can be daunting to say the least. We travel quite a bit and I keep one bag always packed. It has duplicates of all the toiletries that I use, hair stuff, pjs, bathing suit, chargers for my "gadgets", and anything else that I ALWAYS found myself packing. This way I just add the clothes I want to wear and I'm ready to go. And when I return home I just replenish/wash what's needed and it's ready for our next trip.(though being the Super-Mom I am, one trip I forgot the whole bag!!!but that's another story). Also, because we live close to the beach, during the summer my car is always packed with beach stuff for my granddaughter(she is here often) so if the moment so moves us, I can always surprise her with an afternoon at the beach and she's got everything she needs. It all fits very nicely into a backpack and to witness her delight with surprise trips to the beach are priceless!
